Excellent product for the price and quality

Bought for my 01 Civic LX to replace when replacing the head gasket. The price was great compared to some others here. The whole process of installation is quite easy for those who are mechanically inclined. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A 50mm CRANKSHAFT! One of these will save you a huge headache. The product seems well made and comes with everything I need to replace the old one just to be on the safe side. The old one wasn't broken or worn out, but I figured why not put a new one in while I had half…

Water pump sucks for Special Drive

I'm a Honda enthusiast and like to fix my Hondas myself when I can, so I'm torn between a Gates timing belt kit and an Aisin timing belt kit. After looking at the reviews, the price, and the fact that Gates has always been a leader in making straps, I settled on the Gates kit. I don't know if I can blame the pump entirely because I had a stuck thermostat and the engine overheated right before the water pump failed, so I don't know if that was the cause of the premature seal failure. Overall, the water pump, tensioner and timing belt were as easy to install as you would expect. The fit and functionality of the product look high quality and

Great kit! - Belts, hoses and pulleys

Instructions and warnings included to ensure you do not turn the motor clockwise. WARNING! The water pump has 4 screws. One is shorter than the others. This screw should go into the lower left side of the pump. I didn't know this and started tightening the screw, thinking it was the right one. AND CLICK!. He still has a broken head. I used the optional black RTV gasket and bypassed the entire pump. When the water pump tension is applied to this bolt instead of away from it (which pulls the pump
