Nice storage packer

I bought this trailer storage packer. I like that it adapts to different size bearings and lubricates the inside of the bearings well. Remember that if you use a heavier grease, it will take more pressure and time for the grease to flow through the bearings. The quality seems very good and I think I will use it for a long time.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Easy serviceability

You must get this!

Very well done. Continuous. Harder than it looks. Well designed. The specs on this unit are way better than the competition and way more reasonable than the types you use with a grease gun. The "fat saving" inserts are cleverly designed, and unless you're using super-heavy lube, you don't need the vise that some people mention. It definitely saves time and eliminates the mess! After 40 years of hand lubricating wheel bearings I'm glad I finally got one of these.

This is a great tool to make at home.

For the price of something to service my trailer bearings this is a great tool to have at home to do your own maintenance. Easy to use, excellent grease injection into the bearing, very effective in removing old grease. Everything appears to be self-sufficient and creates far less mess than those that used an open-hopper lube oil seal. They threw away their packing hopper and instead used their grease gun for other tasks. I'm glad I invested in this and not other projects.

Hands stay clean and bearings are fully boxed

I bought this to pack new Timken bearings in my caravan. This bearing seal works great and keeps your hands clean. The added Zerk makes adding lube easy and messy. The mechanics at my local spring shop gave it a try too and liked the ease of use and the need not to get their hands dirty. Even the 70-year-old school mechanic dug it up. All rubber O-rings are made from very high quality rubber. The housing is made of very durable plastic. I intentionally dropped it several times and no trace was…

Some muscle is required

Some muscle is required to use this bearing roller, but it is necessary. After all, the lubricant we use is non-liquid and useless. It takes effort, but the result is worth it. Batteries are not required; no need for an outlet. Just old-fashioned muscle power, so this tool can go anywhere; under every shady tree. Get this packer. It's made of very thick plastic and will last for hundreds of uses unless you use a hammer or some other stupid method to make it "work". When using this tool for the…

Terrible instructions but great once you get the hang of it

Instructions are terrible and what you think is easy to understand isn't. Once you get it right (without the help of instructions) it actually works pretty well and you feel stupid for not getting it right from the start. A wheel bearing seal is just dirty work no matter what, but it's a lot less messy than the double-cone type you use with a grease gun, and it uses a lot less grease. The first problem I had was how to get the piston. Because of this, I thought mine was accidentally glued at…
