Soft metal fits hand tool

Used t25 to work with 1/4 ratchet dash, twisted head, didn't give it a bit of thought then used t10 to mount optics at 30 in lbs, Headgear broke off on the 3rd day. Used Milwaukee never had problems again after that.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some imperfections

As long as it works, we'll see.

As long as it works we'll see. This is new to me from Gearwrench, I have a lot of gear wrench products, let's see how this one holds up, they've traded a bit in the last 3-4 years. So far they've worked well. I will come back to update the reviews and if they break I will update the review.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Not sure

Initially 8 out of 10 pieces were missing, the problem has been fixed.

Editing due to fixed issue: New package appeared in a different sealed bag with all the parts inside. I've been using them for quite some time and have enjoyed their fasteners sunk into deeper holes. They have worked flawlessly for many years. I lost the whole set somewhere. Thanks for fixing the Revain and Gear Wrench issue. That's how I opened the package.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Minor issues

GearWrench 80588 Set of 10 T8-T50 Long Torx Sockets

A very well made set that I have not been able to find anywhere else in a 6" length. I'm going to use a T27 Torx to remove the VCT solenoids from the head of my 2005 F150 5.4 3V Triton engine. You will need additional length to remove the T27 Torx screw that is installed in the motor. Make sure you use a solid torx bit and not a head, you don't want the head falling out of the extension or the bit falling out of the sleeve and falling into the motor.

Pros
  • Very Impressive
Cons
  • Commercial Availability

strong sentence. works well with power tools and hand tools

Withstands up to 125 ft lbs of rear chain attachment at 94 YJ. EACH bit is made from S2 alloy steel. Some people incorrectly claim that sizes over T27 are not. I know because I called GearWrench and they were very polite and willing to help me confirm. This is a high quality set at a very reasonable price. It's also rare to find the full range from T7 to T60 (except T47) in one set. .If all you want is a good set of tamper evident torxes, it's hard if not impossible to beat. And compare it to…

Call a bike mechanic!

Good bit set; but didn't work in my application. It took a long T45 bit to get the Specialized brand carbon crankset off my bike. I went for the full set and agree with other reviewers that this isn't MAC-level snap-on quality; but definitely a step up from budget brands. Unfortunately, the devil is in the details. T45 bits and smaller have a solid hex shank that tapers at the end for Torx geometry. In most cases, this is considered a plus. On a custom crank, this little extra material prevents

Longer than many pricier sets and of comparable quality

If you have questions, this is Gearwrench branding. They are sometimes called KD Tools. Both companies are part of the Apex Tool Group and sometimes I think that maybe when changing companies, the same products could be labeled twice or just wrong. I do not know. By no means do you expect most of these instruments to be made in America if that is what you believe. Tools are still cheaply made, but way better than really cheap tools. As for this set of torx sockets, I really like them. The…

They are average at best

I wanted to give them a more positive review but I can't. which i like . The splint is great quality, the tip fit is great and Gearwrench is a name many people trust to support their customers. The problem with them is that they seem cheap. The bits are not centered on the end of the socket and the end of the bit is starting to rust after only a few months outside in mid western weather. I'm not complaining about cosmetics, but with Torx, rust is a big issue when it comes to fit and grip. The…
