Tired of slipping pliers with long needles? Follow me to the promised land!

finally! Needle nose pliers that sneak into tight spaces, hold on and never let go. If you've been waiting for some sort of X-frame pliers that attaches to hoses and takes them off instantly, you've found them. Take care: don't drink cold beer in the store and brag to your buddies by grabbing your fingers to show how they work. It's like you're looking at the last piece of meatloaf on the dining table and your dad is looking at you. You will lose your finger if you try this. These pliers are…

The quality of GearWrench is not the same as other tools

Haven't used them yet so these are just my first impressions. I rarely write reviews but I was a bit surprised when they showed up. I have several other gear wrench tools such as 120xp ratchets and have been very satisfied. These particular pliers do not have the same fit and finish. It looks like they were roughed up on a rough belt sander and then placed in a packet with the rest of the sand. As soon as I saw them still in the packaging, they looked like a dockside tong at the bottom. I…

Overall Good Product

I gave this plier 5 stars overall, 5 stars for the quality but only 3 stars for the workmanship. Those are decent pliers. I was a bit hesitant before ordering because some reviewers complained about the quality. Here is my point of view. My set works. They open and close without jamming. 3 stars for craftsmanship because: 1. Gearwrench could do a better job with whatever process they use to grind and reshape the tips. Yes, a bit off-center and sloppy, but the tips work and they will work. As…

Excellent quality and very functional.

No snap-on quality, but still good features and great value for money! Having three different sizes is a definite plus (much better than an expensive pair). The serrated jaws grip well and the handles are comfortable (and the black color doesn't show dirt). These pliers also have a good usable length (13 inches, not 10 inches). The composite effect isn't as noticeable as I thought it would be, but it's not too bad. GearWrench seems to have struck a good compromise, allowing the jaws to open…

Worst GW product ever!

List this first but read on for details. Result? Poor quality and not up to GW standards. Didn't think I needed to check the reviews as this was a Gearwrench product - BIG mistake this time. Many buy over the years and are happy with their products, but the 1 and 2 star ratings have been accurate; I'm only giving this one 2 stars because it legally bears the GW name and is available at the "GW Store". They actually look like a fake due to their inferior workmanship and finish - VERY similar to…

Assembly and Finishing Port Freight (or worse) priced at Gearwrench

of their products. I have other Gearwrench tools and their workmanship is much better than this one. These pliers are exactly what you'd expect from a manufacturing facility that makes you sweat uncontrollably. ;) This set is overpriced - Revain's $57.69. The list price of $113.85 is ridiculous. The only thing that got me a second star is the improved ease of use of the compound joint and the longer length compared to other brands. The workmanship deserves zero stars.
