This is a great replacement for my original lock assembly. After watching a youtube video on how to replace it, I connected the last wire, snapped the cap off, pushed the button and crossed my fingers. I'm doing a great job and keep working.

Works 95% of the time. It was the correct length of cable for the trigger, so it was a snug fit. The price was great, so that's the main complaint from my side. When it fails, it unlocks but doesn't open, so I have to lift it manually. The good news is that it works most of the time and crashes less often.

I am pleasantly surprised that this product arrived on time as described and was an easy replacement for the original in my MB GL550. At least I expected the screw holes not to be changed a bit, but everything was perfect. The price is even less than a third of what the retailer is asking for.

My wife's GL450 cargo door clicked and activated but would not open. Only with the manual safety lever on the inside of the gate. I scheduled her Mercedes for service and asked her to check it out. I watched a video on YouTube, it took less than an hour to install. Couldn't be happier!

Mercedes dealer wanted over $400 for a new lock. I found several videos on YouTube showing how to disassemble the lock and fix very common problems with it. Unfortunately, when I disassembled my old lock, I found that one of the aluminum shafts needed to drive a pair of plastic gears had snapped in half. There was no way to rebuild it together. I took a chance and went with an aftermarket solution and it worked out well. Visually, it looks just like the original. Let's see how long this lasts…
