Efficient and Reliable: General Filter 1A-25B Standard Fuel Oil Filter, 3/8-Inch Review

This was an exact replacement for a cracked filter. It arrived very quickly and was hooked up to the fuel line straight away. It worked perfectly for me. I am very happy.

My old housing was leaking, not because of the gasket but because of a thread defect. Luckily only the bottom black part was damaged so I was able to leave the old top part attached and just use the bottom part. Supplied with matching filter and seals.

Last winter I noticed the fuel filter housing was leaking with tiny pinholes. I was able to get the replacement shipped within 2 days and it was quickly replaced in the oven as it was pretty much an exact replacement.

Great primary filter installed on the outlet end of my fuel tank. The only issue I had was having to tighten the lid way more than necessary to keep it sealed. Maybe a smoother surface on the top forged cap would help seal better? Anyway I was able to make this seal and it works great!.

Replaced the original fuel tank on my oil burner. It remains only to remove the accessory and replace it with a new one. Be sure to use an approved fuel oil line additive. I used Megaloc blue. The only difference to the original is the lower screw head. The original hex is 1/2 inch and the new one is torx. Not sure of the size as this unit came with a filter installed. I think I'll find out when I change the filter next season.

Mine arrived bolted on and I assume it has a filter in it. I have read that it is. I had to check but felt like it would kill the seal so I assumed it was ok NO! Now that he's on duty, he cries a little. I have contacted the company's support regarding this but they have not yet responded. You can't tighten it anymore.
