Description of General Tools 300ME Precision Stainless

General Tools industrial precision rules are made with etched fine black graduation for easy reading and long life. Ultra fine black graduations on the ruler show graduations of mm, 64ths. This line gauge features a polished stainless steel finish with an overall length of 150 mm (6 inches) and width of 12 mm (15/32 inches). Ruler has a blank second side and also features a convenient pocket clip. Made in the USA.

Very accurate but very difficult to read

ruler scale is very thin and light making this steel ruler exceptionally difficult to read unless the available work light reflects the ruler at the right angle. In practice this means that you move the workpiece and the ruler and try to find that narrow corner so that you can read the ruler. The gradation is almost invisible if the working light is not perfect. However, very fine graduations allow very accurate readings in good light (compared to rulers with too thick graduations).
