This little device was great! We had to buy an extension cord for our screwdriver to drive the screws in, but this little kid was a lifesaver!

Much easier to use than other devices. The clamp makes it easy to hold a piece of wood and drill pockets without holding a jig.

I bought this tool for a job and it got it done. This is not a very high quality tool and will likely not last long with heavy and constant use. If you need a light tool for casual use, this is available and fine.

Having never used a pocket gauge before, I chose the General Tool 849 because it is made of strong metal (rather than plastic). . and because it was a complete kit, including drill bits, allen wrenches and screws. I've only used it once so far, but I have plans for other projects. It worked very well for my first project. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. No complaints or regrets. I am very happy with this tool.

This tool is all metal (unlike the Kreg which is plastic with metal drill guides). I've personally never tried a Kreg device, so I can't attest to its quality. The General Pocket Hole Jig is strong, light weight and comes with a template, step drill bit, several screws and a Robertson bit (square drive) to drive the screws.
