The filter has the same mount as the original but was bent up but doesn't seem to affect performance just had to adjust the fuel feed line. Less than the cost of the original Onan #149-2279 but basically the same filter.

My only issue was that it had to be an exact replacement, but it was about 2 inches longer and didn't fit in the same place because it was pressing against the alternator housing. Besides, she did a great job.

Comes with Cummins 5500 Onan Generator end if you cannot remove the tap end from the old fuel filter. I couldn't take mine off, had to order one that has a nipple that goes in a line!

There was a problem with our generator which ran for 1 minute and then shut down. Started with replacing the fuel filter. The first time we ran it after installing a new filter it started right up and ran until we turned it off!

So we got around to installing this filter on our 5k Onan and it was leaking. I tightened it and the top of the filter started rotating where it was crimped by the bottom half. Leaked under the thread of the pipe. I tried to take it off and it only twisted where it was ruffled. I had to install channel locks on top to take it off and ended up ruining the filter. Garbage!

I had to buy a new one to replace the old filter because the old one was clogged. I then bought it from Amazon and it was exactly what I was looking for to replace the fuel filter on my generator set in my RV. Works as advertised with no leaks. I hope this one will last longer, next time I need another type of filter I will buy it here. I have to say the filter fitted my van perfectly and was easier to install than expected.
