great product suitable for fillers, adhesives and sealant

I used it on my Dodge Cummins to replace the timing case cover and gearbox. Output shaft cover and real stuffing box behind the flywheel. no leaks after a month of driving

Pros
  • fillers, adhesives and sealant
Cons
  • piggy bank price

Great stuff - automotive sealant

1 enough to seal the oil pan and a half chamber. I'm glad I bought 2. If you are caulking the timing cover, oil pan and air intakes I would order 3 just in case.

Cons
  • uncertain

love this stuff on sealers

If you have never used this RTV, this is literally the best RTV ever! This material won't let you down. I've been using it for many years. Make sure surfaces are clean and dry to protect them. Caution: After this is fully cured, removing parts becomes a chore.

Pros
  • car detailing
Cons
  • unreliable

Durable and robust. in Sealants

This product was introduced to me as a Ford diesel technician. From this material you can assemble a full-fledged car. I used it to seal a lightning bolt around the foundation of our house 20 years ago and despite the sun, rain and snow it's still as strong as a nail. Ford Powerstroke oil pans are sealed with it without a factory seal, as are the differential covers. You can remove all the screws and still need to remove the covers.

Pros
  • Silicone
Cons
  • Not the best

No other RTV compares.

Fantastic. Acetone doesn't clean. It had a damaged petrol tank, diesel fuel was leaking from the holes in the floor. RTV smeared to the bottom and although there was plenty of fuel and dirt the sealant stuck to the tank stopping the leak and curing. Good temporary solution until I can fit a new tank. One bottle was enough for my working volume of 7.3 liters. I've done oil pan repairs, intake manifold repairs, fuel tank repairs, and a few other things.

Pros
  • Sealant
Cons
  • Fragile
