The originally installed antenna eventually spawned and threw itself on my hood. I would buy a standard non-retractable antenna at the local auto parts store, but nothing fits this 4runner. This is because the antenna is placed right on the 'shoulder' of the wing, meaning it doesn't close properly. Shame on Toyota! :) Spending $140 on an OEM antenna is a bit excessive, but other alternatives have almost doubled the price, and I didn't even check the Toyota price, thinking it would be triple. It
