I've had my Germ Guardian air purifier for almost a year now and have decided it's time to replace the lightbulbs even though they were still working. As soon as you switch them you will see that they are no longer blue and white but will burn out and turn purple. Changing the lightbulb in my device was very easy.

Received the lamp today. Aside from requiring a firm grip to remove the existing bulb (make sure you use a towel), installation was easy. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, the bulb does not light up. When turning on the machine, the UV lamp flashes for one second and then turns off. I would not recommend purchasing until there is a consistent story that the lamp works for others.

Just turn my air purifier on! When my UV light and filter started to fail, my asthma started going insane. I couldn't order them fast enough! Stay up to date with the latest news on these UV lamps and air filters! It sucks when you feel like shit because you can't breathe. These air purifiers saved my life! Maybe Revane and the clerk could work on putting them in the pantry so I don't forget. :)

Should have listened to the feedback that it doesn't work. I bought a replacement bulb for my sprout holder which is less than 2 years old. This was the first time I had to replace a lightbulb (of course it was out of service a long time ago). I installed one of these bulbs in one of my cars about four months ago and it still works. I just installed another one on my second device and expect the same from it. Some have complained about the short lifespan. This is not my experience. Many people do not know that they must not touch the UV lamp with any part of their body.
