I found this cream, very soothing, and a great moisturizer for my shingles but I couldn’t really tell that it relieved the pain because I was also on pain medication, of course. I took her friends advice and put it in the refrigerator so that the cream is very cold in that did make me feel better, so maybe it did relieve some of my pain!

Purchased this on a desperate whim to try to provide a small amount of relief for my elderly mother who came down with a classic case of the shingles. We caught it early and she went on the prescribed meds within 48-72 hours so I know that also played a big factor but I can honestly say this cream did wonders. After all the great reviews this cream has, I couldn't wait for its arrival to help soothe the pain and itchiness of my shingles rash. Unfortunately, applying this cream had did nothing except make the shingles scream just a little bit louder upon application (it actually stung more when I put it on), even after hoping things would get better with repeated applications and applying it for more than a week. Also, it doesn't rub on clear, but kind of cake on, which I guess would not be a big deal

This cream helps ease the pain and discomfort of shingles. Also if you're unfortunate and develop postherpetic neuralgia it also helps ease the pain. I bet keeping in the fridge would feel great too but I haven't done that yet.

I use this product to relieve the sensitivity of the area where the Shingles sores were, but which is still sensitive after months. The cream reduces the sensitivity. I have also found that it is very useful on other areas that are itchy.

It is not a cure or pain medication but kept the skin cool and prevented shirt fabric from rubbing across the blisters. It is more of a discomfort aid than anything else. Apparently, DermaChange's original "Natural Shingles Treatment and Relief Cream" which is no longer available on ebay, has been IMPROVED, renamed and replaced by "Organic Shingles Pain Relief Cream". (DermaChange, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.) As best I can tell, the new "Organic" cream seems to work about the same as the "Natural" version. The only changes I can see are that it's shipped in a larger tub and more importantly, appears to be a watered down version of the original.

This cream has been getting me through the shingles. I was diagnosed in May and still have residual pain in January of the following year. I would suggest keeping it in the fridge just to help soothe the shingles pain. I use this in addition to lidocaine and cbd salve.
