Very comfortable and light

After some shipping issues and over 4 weeks after receiving this helmet I found it very easy to adjust this helmet to my head size. The helmet is so light and fits so well that I hardly notice it's there. Ventilation is adequate and my head is practically dry after 35 minutes of trekking in the humid North Carolina conditions. Also, it was very easy to attach a rear-facing lantern without feeling like it was on my head. So far this helmet meets all my needs including cost, safety, MIP and…

A modern affordable attractive helmet that meets the latest safety standards

I have been using Giro helmets for over 10 years and have been very happy with their fit and weight; I can't carry a weight on my head that I can feel. Giro helmets tend to be very light and this one is no exception. What makes this model special is its price, design, modern standard, attractiveness and affordability! My Giro helmets used to challenge my budget. This is a super offer!

My last one saved my head!

These comfortable helmets. and the latter has protected me in an accident recently. I'm 64 years old and have worn helmets since the mid 70's. Then there was only one choice. I'm glad there are multiple options now. Giro helmets are my choice. In May I lost control at a level crossing - I lost an hour - I had a concussion - and I fell heavily on my left side. The helmet was badly cracked. I brought it to show the doctor in the ER - he was impressed! The next day I bought a new helmet. Jaro - of

Worst Giro helmet I've ever had!

Probably the worst Giro helmet I've ever had! The Giro brand is well known and has never let me down! My first adult helmet was the Giro and I really liked it for its fit, comfort and adjustability. In all other versions the Roc Loc system was implemented. While this helmet went three steps down and had an older version of the Roc Loc (loosens on its own) and the straps aren't as adjustable as the previous version in the same price range. Yes they added MIPS but that's the minimum added. Also…

Inexpensive helmet with MIPS

I've just started cycling more and discovered that there is a new technology called MIPS that helps with multi-directional impact protection. Well I thought I should update the old Costco Bell helmets from the early 2000's. But when I started looking, there were many over $100. I knew that Giro is a very popular brand and when I saw this MIPS model at this price I wanted to try it. I like the micro adjustment knob on the back. It actually feels like it's squeezing your head, but you can loosen…

Well-made, lightweight helmet with comfortable straps

This helmet replaces a previous Giro helmet that I gave to a friend to exchange when it was damaged. The straps on this helmet are a soft flat cord with fine thread that is softer and more flexible than the previous helmet; It's very comfortable on my face and doesn't cut into the rim of my ears like the previous helmet. The styrofoam backing is correctly molded directly into the shell and the one button sizing on the helmet itself is the best mechanism I've found on any helmet I've tried. This

Good helmet but far from versatile

I really liked this helmet when I took it out of the box. I loved how I felt its light weight and looked at the wonderfully placed vents. I liked it when I put it on my head and saw how good it looks. However, I stopped liking it after about 30 seconds when I felt pressure on my temples. My head is larger: 57-59cm depending on how you measure - but still within the recommended range for this helmet and (I like to think) not super oddly shaped. In fact, there were many "big" adjustable sizes…
