🚲 Giro Verce MIPS Women's Mountain Cycling Helmet - Sleek Matte Midnight Finish (2021) Review

I was disappointed when I received this helmet today because it was blue in the picture online but when it arrived it was a very light turquoise. It fits well but I haven't worn it for a walk yet. I will probably return as the color does not match the description online.

This product works well and unfortunately proved itself on the first mountain bike tour. My wife fell off the saddle on a steep slope due to loss of acceleration. I'm sure the helmet saved her from a head injury. She stood up and said (wow, that helmet is good!) At that moment, I was glad I bought a neck-to-neck MTB helmet. When it comes to your head, play it safe and buy a reliable brand with MIPS. My wife probably avoided injury by using the right gear.

I'm so disappointed that Giro didn't choose sizes for their helmets because they were my favorites. I had the same helmet model a few years ago and assumed this new one would be the same. It turned out that my old one was an M for women and this one is now "universal", ie one size fits all. My head is 58-59 cm and this item is too small even though it is marked as "universal fit". Great fit, light weight. BUT the wrong color was sent. I ordered a Frosted Glacial Helm. A mint colored matte helmet was supplied instead. The label on the box says it is a frozen glacier, but the box contained a wrong color helmet. The color did not match the color on the website. When I read the label inside the helmet, it says Frosted Mint. Apparently they didn't confirm the color of the helmet in the box to make sure it matched the color advertised on the box. Five stars for a helmet no seller Woman likes this helmet in the women's version very much. The male model, like mine, has a helmet shell that is too large in diameter for a female head. I also really like the men's version of this helmet as I have one in matte grey. These helmets are great for mountain biking on the trail. Received this helmet in the mail today and I love it. Perfect fit for my small head, light and comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the color choice. I wish companies would switch to other colors for women instead of pastel blue, pink and purple. I'm afraid this helmet is cheap due to its flaws and therefore offers no weather protection. The straps only fit under the chin, not around the ears, so they don't seem to be in the position they should be when the helmet is on properly. This makes the strap feel like it's choking me unless the helmet is on my forehead, which kind of defeats the purpose of wearing it. I have a small head and when I saw this MIPS helmet rated for women - if I could wear youth size - I decided to give it a try. Fits great for me and it's a light block. The skull strap folds down easily to keep it tight on the head, it takes a little more force to loosen, but you can easily take off the helmet.
