🧊 Pack of 3 Glacier Fresh XWF Replacement Filters for GE XWF Refrigerator Water Filter Review

This filter made the water and ice from the fridge much tastier than the manufacturer's filter. I was very happy that I ordered this replacement. It was easy to install. would recommend.

This filter looks exactly like the manufacturer's original. The installation was very easy and the water quality is very good. You still need to hold the button for 3 seconds to turn off the light. It looks like others had trouble putting out the light.

It took 30 seconds to fit side by side in my GE. The taste of the water is no different than when using a GE filter. For the price of one GE filter, you get three of them. Yes, I was able to reset the "Change Filter" indicator in the Control Panel. Just press and hold the button for 3 seconds. Like the GE filter, you have to run about a gallon of water through the filter to clean it.

This filter fits and filters the water, but the water filter indicator does not turn off. This filter looks the same as the original GE filter and is much cheaper. Apparently GE has a proprietary component that doesn't let you reset the light. If you don't mind when the lights are on, this is an economical replacement. I was aware of this situation prior to purchase because someone else had pointed out the same issue in a review.

Water tastes like well water. The filter makes the water cleaner than what the city has to offer. Each can lasts approximately 6 months and in my family we are all water drinkers. I do not recommend them to replace Ge filters. When comparing the two filters, Gletscherfrische wasn't quite the same - the top two holes aren't fully open like the original filter. They fit well in the fridge and the water flow seems good, so we decided to give them a try. 2 months later water and ice suddenly tasted bad. I decided to try the 2nd pack of 3. I had no problems installing these filters. This brand doesn't have an arrow like GE brand filters to show exactly where they are trying to point the filter, but it was fairly easy to point the filter after seeing how the GE brand filters lined up. This filter was purchased to replace the original XWFE that came with the fridge. Read the many questions/answers on the Revain website about this product. Some say XWF will replace the XWFE filter, others say it won't. So I took a picture and made sure that the XWF filter is not working as a replacement for the XWFE filter.
