I was surprised by the flexibility of the rubber mold. There is no lip around the top of the mold to prevent water from running out of the mold instead of into the adjacent cubic glass. I use bottled water and the water runs onto the countertop. Each cube must be filled individually, resulting in different sizes for each cube. I ordered this as a gift/stocking for my husband. He enjoys whiskey occasionally and heard about "storage cubes" from a friend. He loves this gift! The price is great and for the price you get 2 bowls although I have enough cubes for a while - you can use them in other mixed drinks too.
