good device - fish and aquatic animals

Nice to get a rough estimate of CO2 levels, the PH check could be pita but it works great. You can try a blackout solution, but for now it's not necessary. If there is algae on it, simply remove the suction cup (you can leave it in warm water to soften it) and then soak the jar a little in a bleach solution, rinse and refill.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Almost OK

Not sure if it works?

I still don't understand how it works. I use it on a 40 gallon aquarium. It is located on the opposite side of the CO2 atomizer. First I set the CO2 to 1 bubble per second but to no avail. Then it was increased to 2, 3 and 4 bubbles per second and left overnight, but still no color change was observed, indicating the amount of CO2 in the water.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Works well not as clear as I expected

Works as advertised arrived in good condition and works. First I started too high in the tank and didn't get a proper reading. Make sure it is at least 4 inches below the surface. Blue means low CO2, green is ideal and yellow means high CO2, sometimes high readings. looks like a perfect read, but after watching it fluctuate for a few weeks you'll get used to it.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Expensive

Error, waste of time

Imperfect design, even the paint shaker could not pour solution into the ball. That's why they give you two, you break one trying to inject the solution. After getting my hands dirty with blue shit and using up half a bottle of the solution, I put it back in the box and sent it back. I've used a few other brands of drop checkers and never had this problem. They made the neck too small, it's not used to treat cancer, it's a damn hobby device for measuring CO2 in an aquarium. Unbelievable.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • No performance

The solution becomes almost transparent, the suction cup detaches

The supplied suction cup came loose from the gnyas every few days so I had to refill the drip tray with liquid every time but after a few days it came loose again. I had to buy a replacement suction cup which worked but the liquid in the dropper becomes very light making it extremely difficult to read. That is, everything is fine with glass, and everything else is crap. I will have to buy a test solution from another manufacturer

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Incorrect solution dKH

Overall a good product that is worth the money. My problem arose when I added the solution. I added the solution and set the CO2 at 5 bps in a 40 gram tank. No change after 5 hours, still blue. So I switched the solution I had left over from the Fluval drip tester and sure enough it turned green after 2 hours. contacted her 2 days ago. Still no reply, I will change my rating depending on if/when they reply

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Quality
