Gothic Dragon Door Knocker Finish Review

It is detailed and looks exactly like the pictures BUT it's not cast iron, it just 'looks' like cast iron. I wish I had paid more attention when reading the product description. I thought it was metal, but the dragon's head appears to be plastic. Just a metal hammer. In general, it looks very cool.

This is NOT a cast iron door knocker. It's made of resin and can break (similar to the other type of hammer we originally ordered, it broke in transit. The one I ordered came well packaged in a foam box, so don't worry!). The hoop/hammer itself is cast iron. The detail on it is just amazing! Will work great for what we want.

My father loves kites and got this for Christmas. He loved it. Good quality. The only thing that bothered me was the packaging. I opened it up first to check the quality before giving it to him and there was this cheap broken foamy snow spilling all over it. It took me a while to free the dragon from it. I wanted to dock the star but he liked it so much that he returned this star. Beware of the snow that comes with the kit. Winter is coming.

MDragon Head Door Knocker. Every castle needs a dragon to protect its world. Add some drama to your castle. Head of dark brown sloping material. It is mounted on a metal plate to attach to your door. I just gifted it to a person who enjoys playing knight and dragon castle games. He liked the look and feel and happily hung it on his front door. Someone suggested inside at the door of his hideout? I was afraid this hammer would be light or cheap due to the affordable price. I was very excited when it arrived as it was very durable and heavy as a hammer. The knock ring is very large which is great because it's really easy for people to pick up and use. The design stands out, so visitors will use it. It was packaged in a styrofoam box cut to the size of the product, not loose or wobbling. Nice dark grey/black colour, but you can paint with enamel or even exterior paint.

I've seen a lot of comments on this door knocker. It's NOT real cast iron, but for the money I think it's decent. Mine came with the wrong kind of hardware so I had to buy it from Home Depot to install it. You MUST have a drill for installation and bits to pre-drill the holes. I didn't install it with the snap screws that came with the kit, just the flat metal screws when it came through my apartment door. There are NO instructions for it so expect it to be just packed in styrofoam in a plain…
