Not too difficult to install, looks good and solid

These rails would make a great addition to our baths and showers. If you have the right gear: a thorn finder, a drill, and a son-in-law willing to do the actual work, installation is easy. If you don't, it will only take a few minutes for a local handyman or neighbor to install it.

A must have for anyone with a disability or who has recently had surgery

I recently had back surgery which saved my life. I feel safe taking a shower unaided and getting out of the bathtub is guaranteed. Remember that it needs to be screwed into the wall (it's not a suction cup). So if you don't want to have screws in the wall, this option is not for you. But if you are looking for independence, this is for you!

Attractive rod, poor design

Like other similar products, this rod has flange covers on each end to hide the mounting plate and screws. However, the lids have no thread. They snap into place and cannot be removed non-destructively. The instructions are very clear, don't reattach them until the bar is securely in place. But the rod arrived with one flange cover already attached and the other partially secured. They would not come off without bending or deforming the lid. I really needed to install the bar without waiting…

Not as stable as in the description, you have to check, tighten, reconfigure at least 2 times a week

Not the stability I expected. When I first received the product when I opened the box it wasn't what I expected. I think I was expecting a more solid weight on the safety bar. I installed/installed a safety bar on the wall (in a wall stud for extra stability/security) just next to the shower in the bathroom, however to make it easier for parents to get in and out of the shower. Good product needs work

My wife recently had knee surgery so I bought this to help her shower. I saw this one and it matched my color and length. When I received it, it was in a plastic bag with a small packet of hardware (mounting screws, plastic anchors, and a small instruction manual). I took it out of the bag and noticed that the flange covers were fitted over the flanges. I tried moving them to mark the wall where I wanted to install the plank.
