Can't say anything about durability yet, time will tell. But why 2 stars? Because more than half of the strips were broken (bad glue?). For this price I expect 10 strips with 100 nails each, no more than 20 strips with a random (because broken) number of nails. Disappointed because it increases unnecessary nail gun reloading (and no, I don't load multiple small strips to reduce the risk of jamming)

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Nothing

Received an open box

Looks good but both boxes were broken and I felt the need to do some math to make sure roughly what was supposed to be there. The product seems to be good.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • No automatic

They are nails. They are made of stainless steel.

I live 500 feet from the Pacific so every outside nail needs to be stainless steel or it will fall apart in a few years. Even galvanized ones are not durable.

Grip Rite Prime Guard MAXB64878 18 gauge.

Pays a little more, but stainless steel is the only option in salty air. Worked for my application. These are pin nails and they are soft. Driving into a knot causes a ricochet. He almost turned away from me a couple of times.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Legacy

Stainless Steel for Cedar Projects

If you ever work with cedar, you should use stainless steel as the zinc plating will stain black over time. These nails serve that purpose, albeit at a cost. Cool little belt clip that never seems to want to stay closed - gets opened and lost but bound in plastic so no big deal.

Pros
  • Sturdy Construction
Cons
  • Secret
