Great price and accurate description

I've been trying like crazy to find this part locally or even in Denver but to no avail. And from the manufacturer they are quite expensive, as far as I remember they cost more than 50 dollars. It seemed pretty cool for a piece of plastic with compression fittings. So I ordered this one and it was an exact OEM part at a great price. Installation takes some effort as I assume this part will not fail until you have a faucet for many years (17 years in our case). Corrosion can therefore form onโ€ฆ

Original connector leaks after hose replacement

I replaced the exhaust hose because the handle was leaking. The local plumber said the hose broke. So far, so good. However, after replacing a cracked hose, a leak appeared at the end of the Grohe 46 130 coupling. There are no clear instructions on how to properly install the clutch. Should I start by grabbing the bottom of the pod, then push the entire device up so the yellow top appears to be in the sweet spot, then while continuing to push the base, pull the yellow down, release and " standโ€ฆ

Our new kitchen faucet saved!

Bought a new Grohe kitchen faucet and the flow was so limited the sprayer wouldn't work and it took too long to even fill the pot with water. You couldn't even flush the sink, the pressure was so weak. We researched a flow restrictor for our model and bought this coupler to replace the red coupler that limits flow to 1.75 GPM (I think maybe 1.5?). Problem solved! In fact, the pressure is so strong that you have to get used to not turning it all the way up. You'll have to crawl under the sink to

Works perfectly. Easy installation. The price is outrageously high!

Easy installation without tools. The only problem is getting access to the connection point on the faucet after installation. The hitch is behind the sink, just below the countertop. The 1.75 lpm quick coupler, which comes straight from the factory to the faucet, restricts water flow so much that we couldn't even get the nozzle to stop. Apparently, in the US, Grohe supplies faucets that meet some sort of flow restriction standard. I read somewhere that the standard is called "California Green"โ€ฆ

GROHE Lady Lux Cafe'

Works great I called GROHE and they said I need to buy the yellow to replace the original red. GROHE says they now use Yellow 46 138 on all Yellow 46 138 models, which has actually increased water usage. I used silicone (non-hardening) on the o-ring and cleaned the plug to ensure a good seal. Simply use a rag on the quick connector to create a good seal. Never use more than 4 turns of Teflon tape on PVC fittings or the plastic fitting will tear. I just used non-curing silicone so the o-ring isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it everything is fine

Compatible with Grohe

The other day I was washing dishes using an 8 year old Ladyluxe faucet and found my foot was wet. I looked down and saw a small jet of water pouring out from under the closet door. I thought the drain had come loose or the disposal was leaking. But it was a piece of plastic at the base of the faucet. The threaded black side parted and a thin jet of water flooded the entire interior of the cabinet. The part was easy to unscrew and identify as a Grohe part '46 315', but I found this part, 'Groheโ€ฆ

It works, but you'll need another one in about a year.

This is a direct replacement for the GROHE hose at the base of the hose where it attaches to the faucet. It fits and is really easy to replace (takes about 2 minutes) but I seem to have to replace it every year. Attached are 2 photos. The right part is an original GROHE part. The one on the left is a replacement I bought last year. Now I had to buy another one because the o-ring failed and water got into my case. You can easily see that the replacement part is much lighter than the originalโ€ฆ

If a 50-year-old mom can install it, so can you.

It was a perfect fit and easy (like DIY install) to install. There are no instructions included with the product, but I read other reviews and googled to find out how to install it. Simply put, the black end is a threaded connection. The yellow (or any other color) end is the retractable release/latch. To remove a failed coupler, place a basin under the sink to catch water. CLOSE THE WATER VALVES BELOW THE SINK. Grab the muff with both hands, hold the muff with one hand and pull the coloredโ€ฆ
