Great Furniture Leg Accessory

I recently bought a GRR-RIPPER and wanted all the bells and whistles. I bought most of the elements direct from MicroJig but I bought the 1/8th leg from Revain. This is a great accessory for fine cutting and anyone who uses a table saw frequently should invest in one.

After purchasing the GRR-RIPPER system, I will not use anything else!

I have already had several opportunities to cut thin strips (jigs and carriages). After purchasing the GRR-RIPPER with the upgrade kit, I should have gotten that too. I'm glad I finally bought the GRipper setup because it makes everything quick, safe, and easy. I only wish I had bought it a long time ago.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Confidence and confidence in the haircut

What a wonderful safety item. I use it all the time on every table saw. It takes a little longer to set up, but it's worth it. I feel much more confident making cuts compared to the old hand/push stick method. I recommend purchasing the Micro Jig GRGH-040 GRR-Ripper Gravity Heel Accessory and the Micro Jig GRP-11G GRR-Ripper 1/8-Inch Leg Accessory. Both will come in handy. In hindsight I think I should have bought the Advanced unit, more features and flexibility.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

It works as advertised. But

I only bought this item as an add on when I realized the original upgraded gripper kit did not include the 1/8th bit. This got the job done as I had to rip out a fairly large run of HW 9/32 strips. The whole gripper works well, well thought out etc, but wow quite expensive for just a complete unit. For the second, I chose a regular bulldog style pusher. To be honest, this thing doesn't find much use unless it's already set up to work.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Modern

Great complement to Gripper

If you have a gripper you can put 1/8 inch between the blade and the fence. It can either replace or complement one of the standard feet that come with your gripper. I installed mine over a ¼ inch leg and it served well there. I can make a 1/8" cut and have the blade go in neatly with a standard 1/8" kerf blade. I have 2 handles so if I need ¼" I just use the one that doesn't have 1/8". " Leg. Easy removal by loosening two Phillips head screws. Micro jig design and use of o-rings keep the…

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

1/8 " side leg very handy

I don't use this side leg very often but when I need it it's indispensable. Ideal for sawing very thin work pieces on a table saw. UPDATE: I got this the other day Used when I was cutting thin pieces for some cutting boards and something went wrong at the end of the cut, the woodcutter slipped, the grr ripper slipped and the rotating table saw blade ripped out a piece of the back of the grr ripper's leg .If I had used the pusher as before I would have surely destroyed his pusher and most likely

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Useless features

Adds security and flexibility

Part of the beauty of this product is its adaptability, but with that flexibility comes a challenge - it's worth taking the time to explore the GRR Ripper's features and uses beforehand get to know the installation. for use in your shop or at work. For most cuts, the GRR Ripper is very easy to use and makes many cuts much safer. I've used it to cut 1/8" trim with no kickback or blade burn. Almost all routine cuts work better with it and I am very pleased with the security and adaptability it…

Ideal for narrow gaps. Should come with GRRR ripper but you need this

I personally think it should come with GRRR ripper. This leg is great for tight cracks. It keeps the wood stable and you don't have to give in to the urge to push the piece into the fence. The GRRR Ripper and this leg naturally hold the piece upright and press it against the fence. A recent conversation with someone smarter than me got me thinking about using an offering stick for these cuts. It makes a lot of sense, but I hadn't thought about it before. As I mentioned in my GRRR Ripper review,

  • Easy install

  • Expensive

Saved my hands many times

I have just ordered two more replacements as the tail portion of my tail is starting to nibble, probably due to slight unintentional hand movements at the end of my cuts. This accessory allows me to control the pressure throughout the cut and keep my hands elevated and protected from the blade. I'm not sure if I could achieve what I do in any other way. When creating many box walls, I use this accessory to cut 1/8" thick, 2.5" tall strips on a table saw. It can be a little scary and I've…
