Short, "yes", but cuts through bricks as well as blocks. I didn't even have to use a center drill. I just treated it like a regular drill. (high speed, very light pressure until I got my first circle) I even used a cordless M12 Milwaukee to drill through the brick. Based on some reviews I was skeptical that a $17 part could even compete with an equivalent $150 Bosch part. But I decided to try anyway. I have a few basic bits and understand how to use them. My only concern was that it was an SDS Pro drill and not an SDS Max product as I recognize the power required to drill a 2" hole.
