Works as expected in moisture meters

Product worked as intended. The packaging has been sealed in a variety of ways and filled with a desiccant that is critical to its operation. The only downside is that the hardness chart on the bottle is in mg/L compared to the more widely used (in the States at least) GPG. The conversion is simple math or a google search, but having both scales printed on the packaging would be a huge plus.

I'm not sure of the accuracy.

I installed a new water softener. The conditioner came with 2 test strips, but I bought those too. The test strips that came with the water softener showed hard water when it was hard (garden hose not soft) and soft water a day or two after starting the water softener. These store-bought strips still indicate hard water, although the supplied strips indicate soft water (and the water appears softened).

The readings don't say much

The strips are fairly easy to use but the difference between the different hardness levels is quite mixed. I think the best you can do is determine if your water is very hard or not. My city water company puts the hardness at about 20 gallons per gallon, but these strips don't give me the slightest idea, not even an approximation. The box has a color key and a separate printout. The hues between the two are slightly different, which helps even less.

Worked: Moisture Meter

I use pool chemical test strips so how difficult would it be to use that to test the hardness of my water. Not difficult at all. I have two small complaints that in 30 years time when I need them again will in no way stop me from buying them again. I really only needed one, maybe two, but that's not an option. Although I understand that from the point of view of the manufacturer it is unprofitable to sell one or two. Another issue is that the units of measurement don't match my fabric softener.

The strips become unusable and expire before the date specified in

The strips worked well at first and then after about 10 months showed no change in water hardness. As indicated, the bottle with the desiccant pouch inside the bottle was kept tightly capped in a cool, dry place. The strips expired well before the 05/23/2020 date printed on the bottle. In addition to the above, I contacted Baldwin Meadows on their website and asked for a replacement. They didn't answer. I would not recommend buying from this company.

Water hardness tester

I bought these because my city has hard water issues and I had to buy a new water heater because of the hard water. and my plumber told me my town is notorious for it. I also bought an electronic water softener but wanted to test the water before and after. Well after using a few strips it never showed hard water. What I know for sure is wrong. I just wanted to see the hardness level to compare after installing the softener. So I had to give these one star because they don't work. At least theโ€ฆ

They don't work - Scanners and Testers

The strips I received started to 'brown' and dried out of the bottle. The color never changed no matter what type of water I put it in. Spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong. Saw the manufacturer's response. a buyer - said that they are white at first. I did not. Bought a bottle from another company. They are white. I now get green from soft faucets and orange from hard faucets. I emailed the seller on their company website but never received a reply. Waited too long to getโ€ฆ
