Easy installation and very accurate.

very much. Very easy installation and worked great once installed which was very easy and straightforward. We especially like the water temperature function! I read some bad reviews but decided to take a chance. After a month of use (about 5 times on the water) ZERO complaints. I hooked it up to a switch on the dash so if we "parked" in shallow water we could still hear the stereo without the alarm going off. Also, I didn't want to drill a hole in my dash since the stock depth sounder was a…

Heard good reviews about this sonar and decided to donate.

Heard good things about this fish finder and decided to give it a try. Once the sensor was set up (perfectly), it worked fine, but would go off intermittently and come back on a minute or ten minutes later. Despite the disappointment and unreliability, I continued to use it (I liked it when the air and water temperatures worked consistently). However, I'm now writing a review because last week it just stopped working, no readings - I've owned it less than a year and used the boat less than 10…

Bad product, nonexistent customer service

Do not buy! I had a D10D that stopped working this season (worked fine for a few years). Bought this version. It measures no more than 4-6 feet deep while docked. Shows some vital signs at moderate speeds but is useless (no reading or extremely inaccurate reading at speeds above 15-20 mph). Customer service doesn't seem to be there. I've called their tech support multiple times. I was redirected to voice email every time They try to answer all calls within an hour. Left two messages, one…

No instructions just small parts pouch, depth gauge and transducer

I have just started installing this unit and am very frustrated at the total lack of instructions! I installed the converter after figuring all the parts were together, haven't routed the wires yet. I have a small bag full of small parts and I have no idea how to use them. There were no screws to attach the sensor to the boat so I had to drive 10 miles to the nearest ACE unit. I hope the device is much better than your instructions. I'm wondering if I received a bad block that was returned…

DOA but replacement works fine

My first unit was DOA which I only found out about after spending almost a day installing it on my boat. I should have tested it before installing it. They say 20-20 in hindsight. I have contacted Norcross customer service. After exchanging a few emails, I disassembled the whole thing (display device and converter) and sent it back (at my own expense). Her turn was quick. I received a replacement within 10 days. This time I tested the replacement in my pool before installing it on my boat. It…

You get what you pay for

This is a good fish finder but not a great fish finder. This is the middle of the street. The components/casing are fairly cheap and very simple. I feel like I'm playing with it too much, I might break something. It works - not really, but it works. It claims to provide readings at speeds much higher than it is capable of. I'm losing stable readings above 30 mph. It usually shows "---" starting at 30 and sometimes reads. Not a big problem as my draw is pretty flat over 30mph but annoying…
