Rock hard! Doesn't keep you warm. My cats avoid it like the plague! What a waste of money. I bought another K&H microwavable pet bed warmer, 9" long x 9" wide, it liquifies inside and stays warm and soft for hours.

I have 4 feral cats who live outside and need to stay warm in cold weather. I put SnuggleSafe heating pads under their bedding and they literally pull themselves towards their crib and stay there for hours. They're clearly so comfortable, despite how cold it is. These 3 packs complete my set of 4 and she and I love them. I've been microwaving them twice a day over and over again for the past few months and they are very durable and show no signs of wear.

I use them for adolescent kittens and puppies who can't regulate their body temperature, recovering animals, and even myself. Also ideal for playing football. The discs are hard but safe.
