I recommend this product.

Great product, easy installation, and a much easier way to connect the wiring. I will be purchasing an additional unit for my other trailer.

Pros
  • Replaced a 4 pin plug with yhis 7 pin so I would have power to my tongue jack.
Cons
  • Cheap plastic. One of the screw support columns cracked.

Quality product good for me

Used on homemade trailer. Good quality. Your truck wiring may not follow the color code of the product. No fault of product. You will have to verify by testing. Easy to change wire connections.

Pros
  • Heavy duty feeling and of good quality.
Cons
  • blue= brakebrown= right turn signalgreen= running lightsred= left turn signalyellow= non functional

poor workmanship: my feedback

Looks professionally made until I went to hook it up. conductors that did work were the wrong color! at one point when I opened the door to my truck my wife tells me the lights got brighter? Been a electrician for over 30 yrs not a novice. When I read reviews I tend to wonder if the individual is capable which I am. Not in the practice of slamming product

Pros
  • Highest quality.
Cons
  • Length may be too long or short for certain applications

molded pigtail to truck wired wrong

nice unit at trailer, molded pigtail to truck not wired right, will have to cut it off and buy another plug. That's my review.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Difficult to repair if issues arise

Good Construction/ wire were wrong

Very well built and many options for installation. When installed the wires and the colors on terminal were wrong. Had to get a test light to identify each wire and non of the colors were correct to the color code of the trailer lights

Pros
  • Works great!
Cons
  • Junction box may become brittle over time, rendering it unusable

Wire color codes not typical

The color coded wires do not match any standard trailer wiring color codes. Had to test each wire for power to get proper connections. Took 3 times as long to install as it should have. Bought several to standardize my trailers. Sending all back after trying to install the first.

Pros
  • I liked it my trailer lights and brakes work now it’s a 7 wire but it will work for a 5 wire
Cons
  • The colors on wires don't match up with trailer colors. Double check when connecting.

Heavy Duty - my new review

Heavy made and very solidly built, but it did get water inside when I left it lying on top of my trailer in the rain. I hope mounted on the trailer is going to make a difference. All in all, I would buy it again.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Heavy weight makes installation more cumbersome

Great wiring solution!

This kid is wonderful! Keeps all of your terminals out of harm from the weather and keeps everything neatly organized. Also a very good tool for troubleshooting and isolating a possible short circuit while on the road. I think all trailer should be built with these from the factory!

Pros
  • Pretty easy install. Replacement for my camper. Nice all in one unit
Cons
  • Connector pins may wear out over time

Got the job done for my opinion

This would beva 5 star review of it came with instructions. I get that the manufacturer probably thinks this is a self explanatory piece of equipment, but after spending 3 days banging my head against a wall only to find out 4 pin and 7 pin trailers use different color wires for lights, it would have been better if that was called out on install instructions.

Pros
  • I am buying this for every trailer i own!!
Cons
  • Product may rust over time
