Easy to cut into the perfect piece

We have purchased this many times and love it. The only problem I have is that it breaks fairly easily. But we only cut hard cheddar cheese, so it might last longer if you cut a softer cheese. Even though it breaks more on us than I'd like (we go through about 1 a year) I still love it and will continue to buy it while I can find it because it's probably one of the easiest to use. I found it and it's so easy to clean. The best part is that nothing needs to be adjusted, so you don't have to…

Pros
  • Construction: Plastic and stainless steel
Cons
  • Has imperfections

Wire long enough to cut large blocks of cheese

I love this cheese cutter! hefty piece of cheese" and I thought I'd just end up using the thin side, but they both fit the bill and I use both quite often. not bulky like a knife. Since it's just a wire and not a blade I can my little kids use it with it without cutting themselves.I can also use it without taking out my cutting board. This slicer is great for both soft and hard cheeses.I returned to order a few as gifts.

Pros
  • Made in China
Cons
  • Safety

Short lived as others have noted

Although it worked it worked well. Even if there seems to be a design flaw. There is a real weak point and the device is mostly made of plastic. It really was the perfect tool until it broke. We replaced it with a nice stainless steel one from a restaurant shop here in town. This place basically only sells one type of tool for each task in the restaurant so I bought what they were selling as a cheese cutter and I'm very happy with it. Looks like this: http://www.amazon.com/Norpro-330-Adjustable……

Fat or thin. Unsurpassed

Each week our family buys 2 to 3 2 pound blocks of cheddar cheese. We stopped typical wire cutters about every month. I get annoyed when I pay the retail price for a cheese slicer in the supermarket because we broke another one. They never seemed to last long, the wire would stretch, the cheese would snap at the bottom of the cut etc. Stumbled across the thick and thin cheese slicer at Revain and ordered 2 of these and decided not to try. These things work amazingly well. What really surprised…
