Good movement, bad chime

The movement works well and keeps time very well. Installs easily. Used as a replacement for a defective Hermle clockwork. I had to use the original Hermle hands which require a small modification. The Do Not Disturb is set up well, but doesn't ring when the watch is plugged in. The replacement block worked fine. Need more detailed instructions on how to align the arrows and the motion trigger switch for the horn. After that it looks and works fine. Velcro is needed to attach the bell unit so…

Terrible ringing bell Loud pendulum mechanism

I inherited the Regulator clock from my grandparents. This is not a priceless family heirloom, but a sentimental favorite. Westminster's bell and clock mechanism stopped working. I ordered these as a replacement. Bad choose. The bell sounded awful, tinny and cheap. Luckily it stopped working after about three hours and never turned on again. The movement of the pendulum makes a very loud noise, which is quite annoying. Buy something else.

Easy to install, good timing, ringing is not as good as the previous clock and only works for 3 months

Cheapest watch replacement I could find. The arms were too long but I just trimmed them. The time is displayed well, but the chimes aren't as good as previous watches. At 1/3 the original price it's worth it. Update 05/13/21: clock no longer works after 3 months! The second hand will click, but the time will not change. I've tried changing the time, the battery, moving the second hand, but the time doesn't go.

Really happy! - Clock Fittings

I bought this mechanism to replace the mantel clock mechanism I had for almost forty years and was tired of winding, greasing and sending in for repair. Installing the mechanism was easy and I am very happy with the purchase. They offer a beautifully crafted, varied range of hands that can easily be trimmed depending on your choice to perfectly match your watch face. The pendulum is very light and has a very nice finish. It looks just as good as the original pendulum.

Some parts have died, others still work, although less than 2 weeks have passed.

It was pretty easy to set up except we're having trouble ringing the fight on the hour. It runs for 5 minutes to an hour. We reset it several times and somehow it still fires 5 minutes before. We had it in less than 2 weeks and the pendulum swinger has already died. It didn't work anymore. We had to use an old clock pendulum that was a bit longer than the one that came with the clock but not much heavier. I'm not sure if this is partly responsible for the pendulum not working anymore. Great replacement for the Westminster quartz movement

I'm primarily a watchmaker but I work on watches when clients and friends ask me. The kitchen wall clock was brought to me with a broken mechanism. This kit felt right and it was. I replaced an existing Westminster quartz movement with a cabinet mounted speaker with this one. The movement was good, it had 3 sets of hands and a plug for the second hand axle if you decide not to install a second hand (this was the case with this watch and the buyer's choice). The swingarm is only about 5 inches…
