I like the dial except for one thing. The black hands are invisible unless there is a light background behind the clock. Still, the shadows make the hands hard to see unless you're directly in front of the clock.

I really liked this watch. He has beautiful craftsmanship. Unfortunately I was in a hurry to put it in my frame, dropped it and broke it. It was all my fault. The size was too small but I wanted to try to adjust it somehow. I was all the more disappointed that the next size was no longer available. It's beautiful so buy if you need the size.

This is a great little watch insert. I've used it with a watch I made out of sapele and it looks amazing. So far the movement has been constant and there has been no loss of time. As mentioned in one review, the only caveat is that it can be difficult to read the hands on the watch at times. I built this clock with a backplate but found that it works better without a backplate as it lets light in from behind.

I used this to fit an old clock from the 50's which was an electric clock (needs to be plugged in). Antiques are not very valuable, but have been passed on as a kind of "family heirloom". Part of the clock was completely rusted and we never knew what to do with it. This clock insert required a bit of dremel work, but it was worth it. The clock now works in living room decoration for the first time in 20 years of owning it!

I was lucky enough to find this watch that fits into an old Linden watch case that no longer works. Looks well made and a good buy for the price. This is not a silent continuous movement, but a ticking like an old clock. The only downside I have is that the hands are hard to read unless you have really good light. The photo shows that the hands do not stand out against the background of internal work. I didn't test it to see if I could take it apart and paint my hands.
