I was not expected the compact size/design of the lantern nor the power of the light provided. After purchasing I went to my local dollar store for a 100 lumen battery pocket lantern to use at night in the tent, as this one was a bit bright i felt for just rummaging the tent at night. Great lantern and its small compact design makes it an amazing space saver in your pack at little loss of power or light capability.

I have purchased 2 of these so far. They work great for in a tent or right around a campsite. It's true they don't throw light out a great distance but I didn't expect them too. They're so much easier than my Coleman propane lanterns or flashlights. I ordered this product just prior to a 5 day power outage. I liked that it is lightweight and easy to charge. The flashlight mode is bright with wide range of light. It’s a plus that it also runs on batteries however I wish there was an indication light that lets me know when the power has switched from charge to batteries. On a charge, it appeared to last approximately 2 days but the light gradually diminishes so that it really needs to be fully charged for a bright light.

I use this when I take my dog out for a walk at night. We usually go for a 10-20 minute walk once or twice a night. After about 2 weeks, the lumen output has considerably dropped. This means that the battery only has about 4-6 hours of continuous use. I was hoping for at least double that.

The LED camping lantern is very compact and light as well as easy to use since you just pop it up and viola you have light. I had occasion over the beginning of last fall to use the light during one of the PG&E power cuts and found the lantern to be very useful for moving around in the dark. I've also used the light for the dark recesses of a deep closet. Being rechargeable and replacement battery powered is a big plus. This is a very good lantern to have around the house.

The lantern is very bright for its size. It will light up a whole room. And it is very lightweight. It is the perfect lantern for my emergency kit.

It charges quickly and keeps its charge for a reasonably long period. It's got more features than I need or use. Most important for me is its brightness which enables me to read for hours and get around the house when the power goes off.

I purchased this lantern because at the time my electric kept going out. I've not had a real reason to use it now but have it close by in case the power goes out again, which I'm sure it will. The lantern is so light weight and puts out an enormous amount of light for such a small gadget. Even if it's not charged, I can always put batteries in it. It's just plain cute! For the price, this is a great lantern. We gave it to my son for his birthday. It works great as a lantern or flashlight. It is a very bright light and is great for camping. He has used it as a nighttime reading light too. He has never used batteries in it. He only uses the built in, rechargeable battery. We did have an issue with it. We bought four originally and took three camping recently. They proved so useful that I ordered four more. Upon receiving the four lanterns, I discovered one of the lantern's carry handle plastic mounts was broken. I contacted the seller who replaced the lantern within several days!

With double the battery life this would easily get five stars from me. I like having the flashlight mode even though it is primarily a lantern. The flashing red strobe pattern is a nice bonus I hope to never use. In lantern mode it only lasts for 2 to 2.5 hours. I really do like this little lantern, but I mainly bought it because it can USB charge. I really really hate having to deal with batteries! I charge it up at my bedside and put it in the pantry where I always need a light. About once a week I might reach for the lantern, and inevitably it has lost its charge by the time I need it.
