Was a bit skeptical of this product because of the price, and some negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. This crimper is built solidly and came oiled -- feels like it will last a long time. The tool itself includes a depthed blade for stripping cat5 jacketing cleanly and it works well (don't bother with the included yellow tool, that seems prone to nicking the twisted pairs). The tool cut and crimped cleanly on the 10 or so connections I've made so far. Great value for the money.

It works well, it has a marking for correct pin one placement on the opposite side that the connector is inserted into and that is literally my only gripe about this item. I fixed that by putting down some tape and marking the pin one side. Other than that it has worked well, the outer wire stripper does a good job and with very light pressure I haven’t cut into any inner wires after crimping dozens of connectors and all of the connections have transmitted data and power without an issue.

I haven’t crimped or made a network cable since I was 23. and here I am 11 years later and boom here I am . already fixed 5 rj45 ends! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Made sturdy, very well designed and works like a dream! I only regret not buying this a lot sooner in life . but hey here is to the present ! Haha. BUY THIS PRODUCT, BEST DEAL FOR THE MONEY !

Solid experience using the crimp tool. I primarily used it on Cat6 (around 30 cables), and a few Cat5e (around 10). Most of the challenges I ran into were my skill level on using this (first time ever crimping ethernet cables), but after doing a few, I was able to do them pretty quickly. I didn't feel a need to use the yellow tool (you can use the crimp tool to score the shielding at an exact diameter, which felt more reliable). I work at a wifi company and we're always making RJ45 cables. This tool makes it really eazy to make the cables, plus it came with 50 RJ45s and strain reliefs.It also came with a wire strippers. The wire strippers are too big for the Cat5 cable wires, but you can use the crimper to strip those. I usually use my Klein strippers anyway.

Good sturdy tool, but it has a mechanism to stop you from going backwards. Not real sure why. It's a little counterintuitive to have to squeeze it all the way shut to open it back up, once it has started to close.It also has a tendency to not cut all the wires off, but is usually fixed by straightening the remaining wires and crimping again.

My husband used this over the weekend and was very happy with it's use. Very well made for the price, easy to use with a great grip on the handle. He was very happy.

I can't really ding them for not including any documentation since you can find everything on line.The crimper worked well and the kit has everything you need to put connectors on the ends of your CAT-x runs including stress relief.

My uncle requested this as a gift for his birthday. I have no idea what a crimper does but he is very happy with the product. From what he has told me it has a great grip, cuts, and crimps perfectly!

Just used this crimping tool last night. Had to run Cat6 to the opposite end of my house due to a wifi weak zone. This tool worked like a charm.
