Perfect single board computers

Use these for the automatic door in my chicken coop. I had a few breakdowns, my fault. Outdoor use must be in a sealed enclosure. Ants love these boards for some reason. You accumulate and shorten it. In my wiring, if the board fails, the doors stay open, not good. Great product for the money

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Exactly what I needed and works well

I needed a light sensitive relay that would turn on during daylight and turn off at dusk/dark. It does exactly that. I use it to power a small DC motor that spins a piece of garden art. Without that combined light sensor and relay to allow the circuit to turn on or off normally, I would need a separate light sensor to activate a separate relay, complicating the circuit.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Works fine single board computer

I bought this to open my automatic door for my chickens and ducks. My system runs on a 12V DC battery with a solar panel for charging. It works well in the mornings but not so well at night when I have to adjust when it closes. It closes too early leaving some birds outside. I found a 12dc clock with a relay for it.

Pros
  • I keep my fists
Cons
  • confused

It works Computer components

This is a typical night light control module that turns on when it gets dark. Instead of controlling the light, you can turn on any device. This module has a LM393 chip to compare the ambient light level with the relay activation. With an input voltage of 12 V, daylight (relay off) consumes 5.3 mA and darkness (relay on) 34 mA.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • It's hard to remember, but it was

Good relay for 10 amps. - Single board computer

I've been using this relay for about 2 months to control puddle lights on a truck. Everything works as it should. I extended the photocell wire to mount it on the rear window so the puddle lights only come on at dusk, which is what I wanted. I put a drop of Lock Tite on the dial to keep it from changing due to road vibration.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Be careful, good for computer components

The only problem I've found with this unit is the length of the sensor cable. The conductive wire is thin and easily broken when stripped for extension. I wish it had screw terminals instead of a plug so I could just use my own cable. After hooking it up to a table lamp by the window, I found that the light would turn on and off at dusk when motion was inserted. Still working on this issue. I just can't decide.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

I needed a light sensitive relay that would switch on in daylight and off in dusk/dark. It does exactly that. I use it to power a small DC motor that spins a piece of garden art.
