Very cheap, flimsy, didn't work with the 4 1/2" internal locking rings I needed them for. it twisted and bent immediately, and not just because the tips on the internal appeared to be bent the wrong way around so slipped off I gave 2 stars due to the low price and I assume they will work on some things but for me it's a waste.

Large circlip pliers I don't need them often, but when I do, I have no other choice. These pliers come in a nice case with different tips attached with screws. Although the pens are a little flimsy for my liking, I just couldn't get over the price considering I won't be using them often. I think with careful handling these pliers will work quite well.

I bought this kit to remove the large circlip holding the main bearing in the pump housing on our backhoe. Despite the negative reviews, I found this kit to perform exactly as I need it to. The only thing I would have liked was a finer tooth pitch on the ratchet lever so I could get a more precise spring rate. I'm going to file an extra tooth so I can get full lock on full hit.

So I had snap ring pliers meant for small sets but I have been making ball joints that require the ring (outer) to be opened and a 2 inch ring to to remove it (if you don't have the old horseshoe style, hammer in and out), but the new pieces come with new rings and fit tighter and wider than the old ones. I decided to write a review about this because others have had such negative comments about these pliers. Sure, they're not snap-on quality, but for the money they're not bad at all. I'm pretty impressed with the quality. They come in a lovely blue molded case which was a surprise as the picture only shows them in the red shell. Mind you, these things are solid and designed for snap rings 3.5" and larger. They were almost too big for what I needed them for, but they did the job.
