Worked great; it was a motherfucker to get.

Works great; It was a bastard to remove the hex plugs from the old one and replace it with a spare, but other than that it's smooth as silk. Be sure to note the little embossed arrow on the back to get it right!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

For some reason the block broke on my Hitachi. I've had these units for years and they still look brand new. Once I installed this regulator. Blocks work like new, no problems. It's nice to find parts. The compressor works like a champion again. It wasn't difficult to replace. It took me about half an hour to install. Many Thanks

  • Impressive

The OEM part broke as did this replacement in the same place

Absolutely the right part for an OEM replacement on my compressor. When installed, the handle broke right where the original broke and fell apart. I regret waiting so long for a return date to have it installed, but I had a cheap regulator on the compressor so the replacement was not critical. The cheap one's back because it doesn't work. I'm not in the mood to get upset that Hitachi made a part of such poor quality that two broke in the same spot, or that the seller sent a unit that was…

EVEN STEVEN are the best in power tool parts and accessories

Good news this replacement pressure regulator was shipped very quickly and is a perfect fit for the failed pressure regulator. The bad news: new pressure regulator This seemed to be in perfect working order at first glance, but was actually defective due to a part breaking off under the adjustment knob. I was able to replace the broken part of the failed pressure regulator with a new one. All in all it's fair to say it was even a deal with Steven and I have a few spares in one of several coffee

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • I won't say anything

eg I work in an office for a lifetime

So how do I work in an office for a lifetime? I only have an air compressor. There are no more service stations, so it is very difficult to find a place to deflate a tire when you need it. However, you do not expect such a person to know anything about air compressor repair. This part is an exact replacement so no adapters were required. I just removed the old part and installed the new one. Works great. After a bit of research I found that leaving the tanks fully pressurized all the time is…

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Reliable

Installation Tips! The pressure switch block does not have to be dismantled.

This is a Hitachi EC89 The first photo shows that the new knob cannot be screwed on directly. Photo 2 shows the pressure switch block turned to the left (use a 14mm wrench on the nipple that connects the switch to the tank). Photo 3 shows that the new regulator now releases the tank for screwing. Photo 4 shows the completed installation without the gauge. The replacement was relatively easy and the compressor is back in service. I think the price is a bit high considering the build quality…

It took some time - the effort was worth it.

MHMH1 2 cents ago My 2 cents - I've had a Lowe's EC 89 in my garage for more years than I can remember, for home use only. The manual was updated in 3/2011 so I'm not sure how long it was in use. The first thing to do was toggle the switch on/off, which I bypassed simply by plugging/unplugging the device. 5 days ago the regulator broke while loading the block in the garage. The handle flew out and hit me in the shin, leaving a pretty nasty bruise! I decided to swap both parts and found them at…
