Good little car: Welding and soldering

The screws aren't as bad as others have mentioned. I clamped them down to setting #2 with a DeWalt drill bit, then did a good hand test and they held. Yes in terms of durability it would be better if they used stronger and heavier hardware but the bolts don't break out like others (not mine at least), there may have been a batch where the frame was drilled too big?

Made in China with Chinese quality - Hobart, are you reading these reviews?

Nothing to say. Pros: Steel plates and steel tank support more than enough. Full iron is just a shame. The holes weren't aligned properly and the wheel holes weren't properly defined where they should go. The reels themselves were just plain cheap! The rear axle isn't long enough to accommodate all the spacers, washers and wheels - something had to go through so I just removed 4 washers instead of mine. Nothing to be proud of, but he keeps Hobart's welders.

Great solid rack, junk outfit

The hardware on this thing sucks. I just drilled my own holes and used my own screws. Once you do that, this rack is pretty cool and really solid. I have an 80cu and Hobart 210 bottle and I'm not concerned about that at all. But it's very disappointing that Hobart supplies this with the cheapest of cheap Chinese lights that come loose halfway through installation. I would give this thing five stars but I literally had to drill holes for all the screws and was expecting a lot more. from Hobart.

Liked Best in Price Gas Welding Machine

Absolutely Professional Review. Any guy can assemble this thing in 10 minutes. Look at the instructions in the pictures. They sent me 2 fully stripped nuts for 14 holding the front wheels. I'm not upset because the workbench has a handy box for nuts and bolts. Quality assurance obviously needs improvement. Remember to add the canister wall first when installing. Welder and stuff in and I'm glad everything is organized now and the canister has a secure mount. The mounting is tight so the rear…

Regrettable purchase from Welding & Soldering

Purchased in a combo pack with a Hobart welder. I should read the reviews first. The equipment to deliver this product is terrible. The hardware is too big and doesn't fit. And when you finally install it, it doesn't stick, making the device feel flimsy. The washers provided for the large rubber wheels have an inside diameter and will not fit as advertised. The assembly instructions are extremely minimal. This is normal as it is a simple installation. However, if you mount 2 plates BEFORE the…

Not bad for the price!

This was the cheapest wagon I saw when looking for a wagon for my Hobart Handler 125. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that to make this thing really strong it is necessary to drill holes, discard the sheet metal screws that came with it and replace them with 1/4" bolts (not included). I LOVE my Hobart welder, it worked right out of the box with no modifications (and I hadn't welded it in for over 10 years before I got it) so I figured a Hobart wagon would be the same quality,

Bad Screws!: Welder

Well packaged for shipping. After unpacking and examining, it was time to assemble. The included Phillips screws are very soft and can be removed immediately. Luckily, as a mechanic with 30 years of experience, I happened to have a couple of #10 x 3/4" sheet metal screws with 5/16 hex heads and Belleville washers (requires 8 of each). Then I assembled it to the finish. Ouch! I had to do that remove top shelf to install tank support plate. Better instructions are needed as is the case now for…

Does what it's supposed to do but struggles

Overall size and fit quite good. I put 210 MVP on it and it fits great. The 210 weighs about 75 pounds, so being able to roll it around is nice, and being able to roll up the cords and place them on a shelf underneath the welder is nice too. I'm not running gas right now, just flux cored so can't comment on how well it works with a tank but the setup looks good for it. My biggest concern are the screws that attach the shelves to the square tube frames. It's just thin sheet metal on sheet metal…

Pros
  • Welder
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

I bought this welding cart to hold my MIG welder. I like the low profile that keeps the unit stable and it's narrow enough to move around my crowded workshop. The top shelf is roughly level and doesn't lean back too far like some other designs. The steel materials used are amazingly strong and I'm not concerned that they will hold my welder and medium sized tank. The rear wheels are rubber and plastic but have a unique and very strong construction. The front wheels are sufficient and rotate on…

Serious disappointment - poor quality control

This welding carriage HAS to impress. It has a relatively thick metal frame and sheet metal for its price range. Unfortunately, what it DOESN'T have is the correct size self-tapping screws, or the correct number of washers, or even someone competent who took the time at the factory to notice these above items OR that a frame member was significantly bent. (rejected) . 1/4" of mated pair.) It wasn't a package that had been dropped or otherwise damaged in transit - I wouldn't upset that as it…
