At least when using a GoPro (Hero 7 in my case) this thing has serious design flaws. GoPro batteries need to be changed frequently, so the fact that you can use the gimbal to charge your devices was a huge bonus. Only when the GoPro is connected, all ports will be blocked so you cannot turn on the GoPro from the gimbal. The next problem is how to mount the GoPro. I also had a Karma gimbal but I returned it as it was too faulty and iSteady was better suited to my use. I mainly use this gimbal to record bouldering with a GoPro. I mount a stabilizer on the end of a large monopod to allow the camera to elevate about 20 feet in the air. The gimbal keeps the camera steady and level. I bought this stabilizer for a 6-day tour of Taiwan. When it worked it was very good. However, it only worked properly a small percentage of the time. It kept turning off while I was filming videos, had to be constantly rebalanced and now the power button is being pressed.
