Nice but doesn't work well

The fan is great. It's slim and I like the remote control feature, but you don't feel the air moving under the fan. Even at maximum speed, only a slight air movement can be felt at the edges of the room. This happens when the air moves up or down with the switch. We assume that the problem lies in the design of the blades. The blades are narrowed at the ends. We have not yet been able to obtain product support from Honeywell. It doesn't help us at all so we will return.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Waiting too long

DO NOT use the included LIGHTS!

Light and fan are good. It was easy to install BUT the lights that came with the package are TOO HOT! After a little work with the light, there was a smell of burning. The light lid was very HOT to the touch. We found a great review that had the same problem and put the lighting up: 40w (uses 3.3w) LED, Candelabra E12. Honeywell should no longer ship these ceiling fans without installing devices that may not cause a fire or destroy the housing in which the lamps are installed. We were luckyโ€ฆ

Advertising is inaccurate and misleading

The instructions that came with the product clearly state that contrary to Revain's pictures it should not be installed nearby. The Revain images suggest the fan color is an oiled bronze with metallic bronze edges, but the actual color is solid black. The product description says it has 3 B10 E12 40W incandescent bulbs, but it actually only comes with 2 A15 E26 60WE LED bulbs. It's a good fan, but there are too many inaccurate details in the ad to give it more than one star. Also, I had toโ€ฆ

Great and quiet fan

We liked this fan so much we bought three of them. It's great and quiet. The bulbs that came with it are a bit dim, so we ordered a brighter one. Some of the parts listed in the parts list are already assembled in the package which is confusing at first as they are listed separately in the instructions. The remote can dim and brighten the lights which my husband can but I can't figure it out but it doesn't matter to me. I don't know why others have complained about the lack of a fan, we didn'tโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • No paint needed

I decided to go with the flush mount and after reading the bad reviews about the flush airflow I decided to give it a go assemble. Luckily, the airflow is amazing when properly adjusted. The fan element is quiet and the lighting element works well, although you have to buy light bulbs from Amazon with more power than the ones included. The installation was a bit difficult due to the small area for wiring. The downside came later. tried changing the lightbulbs and now the whole fan makes aโ€ฆ

Pros

The Closemount unit creates only 1/2 airflow.

I chose a fan that I really liked. Adequate size for the room (52"), but I ordered two of these fans with only 48" blades because my tall husband needed a ceiling fan mounted closer so he didn't hit his hands while dressing and undressing and tighten them provide no more than 48 inches. He liked that there was a higher mounting option that was less than 10 inches from the ceiling (the one I chose was 12.5 inches). They do NOT tell you that the fan is useless. This mode barely moves half the air

Quiet, balanced, simple, bright

They are much better than some other fans I have bought. They have a more "traditional" look than the low profile fans I've had in the past, but they were very easy to assemble yourself and just as easy to mount. I didn't have to use balance tabs at all, and the color options made it easy for me to customize the room's decor (as far as I know how). Tips: 1) DO NOT pre-assemble. Even with a helper, it will be much easier to just attach the blades and ignite afterwards. 2a) Make sure you have aโ€ฆ

There's a trick to air movement. . .

This is a great looking fan that works without hesitation. . . Balancing is not required. The blades are dark brown (walnut) and black with a gray wood texture on the back. I installed it flush (which probably helps with the wobble) in our bedroom without the short track that was included. This places the top edges of the fan blades 4 inches from the ceiling. The ceiling is 96 inches (8 feet) and the light sphere is 86.5 inches (9.5 inches deep), which is more than 7 feet from the floor. Theโ€ฆ

Stay Away or Prepare for Disaster

For reference, I'm a retired Navy electrician and have installed quite a few ceiling fans over the years. This fan started well enough, the assembly is quite easy, and the blades are well designed, so you can attach the metal brackets for the blades in advance, and fix the blades with the brackets after you hang the fan, the easiest fans to assemble. we faced each other. The remote works very well too, no multiple taps to get it working, it's fast and reliable. The fan seemed well balanced andโ€ฆ
