Essential for Vicks/Kaz V790 Humidifier

Pads Bought a month ago and only for S&Gs (shit and grin) I decided to check out Pads today - after only 1 month. The water in the tank looks clean so I assumed no gaskets are needed. Yes! Holy ships! The pad collected more minerals from my tap water than I thought it would. The water in the tank looked clean. I'm not going to soak it in vinegar until I know what happens to the minerals that I now know are in the water. Large room size. It delivers a clean, sanitized warm mist to the…

works well, they are cheap and good value, much less cleaning required

I bought a Honeywell HWM450 humidifier in early January. I use it and check if it needs cleaning and wasn't dirty enough to need it. My previous humidifier, which I used without these pads because I wasn't familiar with them, got a lot dirtier and needed a lot more cleaning. (both types of warm fog). At the beginning of March I had to clean it for the first time, before that I only changed these pads when they were dirty, for about 1-2 weeks, and the first time I didn't even replace them, just…

Honeywell is helping with our well water

We have well water that contains some minerals but is not usually a problem. In my bedroom I use Vicks UV 99.9% Germ Free Mist Humidifier. It holds 2 gallons and we toss 2 gallons in the air every 24 hours during dry winter weather. This patch needs to be trimmed a bit to fit. I use it for 5-7 nights before changing it and there is still some mineral build up under the pad. However, I see that it helps to contain most of the mineral content. I leaked and used my humidifier without pads for a…

Round with holes. for humidifier parts and accessories

Look, I don't mean to sound whiny and ungrateful, but these waffles are awful. They have no real flavor and are so dry they literally sucked all the saliva out of my mouth WHILE I was chewing. Even after I fried them well and covered them with oil and syrup, they just seemed like fibers. indigestible fiber. I really hate throwing away food (kids are starving in Indonesia) so I came up with the idea of using leftover waffles as a mineral filter in my vaporizer. I have an old-fashioned, extinct…

Simple and useful - parts and accessories

For those who, even after reading the manual, can't figure out what it is: absorbing the minerals that normally build up on your heating element. It's easy to use - place it on your heating element and then use the humidifier as usual. However, during my testing, I found that I really can't "hold" my hard water - if I do, the fabric pad will eventually "stick" to my heating element due to all the extra minerals that have built up between them ". and I ended up with a mess. If I stick to my…

Works well and saves time.

I paid $4 for these 12 packs of mineral pads. That's less than about 33 cents apiece. I used the mineral pad that came with my moisturizer and white vinegar to make it last longer. The idea is to use vinegar to dissolve the minerals deposited on the pad and regenerate it. The original seal eventually broke after repeated use. In my experience, after a consistent vinegar regeneration method, padding becomes less effective. I ran out of cushioning and minerals built up on the heating element of…

Great product (if you buy cotton)

This product comes in one of two forms: 1 - Box of six plastic bags, each with 2 absorbent pads. The pads appear to be cotton. They are manufactured by Kaz and sold under various brand names such as Vicks, Honeywell, etc. - or -2 - plastic bag with 12 pads. The pads are made of polyester (or similar plastic) and are more airy, whiter and a little thinner. I personally didn't like the idea of using them. What you get depends on the seller, but I buy from DealYard now because they have given me…
