Easy to install and works

Instructions were out of date and this comment was previously made by others. The instructions said you must install the module on the right side of the vehicle, but looking at the wire IDs it was obvious that the module should be installed on the left side with a wire going to the right side connector. The car's panels were removed before the kit arrived, so installation took only a few minutes. The panels were only loosened enough to allow access to the connectors and it took about an hour…

Cons

Good quality, easy installation but misleading instructions

I would rate the quality and installation process a 5 but the instructions provided and the actual suspension did not match. The instructions placed and connected the passenger side wiring harness to the long yellow wire that connected to the driver side light connector. In fact, the wiring harness had to be routed and connected on the driver's side, and the long green wire was connected to the lamp connector on the passenger's side. Otherwise everything was in one breath and fully functional.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Solid adapter set, with reversed directions.

This is a well made kit and works well but as others have said the instructions are completely wrong. This adapter is located on the left (driver) side of the car and the green wire goes to the right (passenger) tail light. 1 star deducted for poor instructions. I use a utility knife to cut a small slit in the driver's side floor compartment and thread a 4-prong connector through the slit. When not in use, the plug and cords are rolled up and stored in this compartment. If I have to tow…

Few instructions but easy installation and good job!

Purchased for 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe, instructed and also shown to install unit on passenger side and route the longer (yellow) wire to the driver side connector. Well the longer wire I got was green not yellow and knowing the green wire for my right hand signal was on my trailer I had to install the main unit on the driver's side and the longer green wire on the passenger side lead to the plug. The manual also doesn't mention that the white common/ground wire needs to be connected to the…

Works well for towing products and winches

Works well so far - I think. After installing it I've driven about 2500 miles with a trailer. Trailer headlights worked perfectly, no complaints. I had an issue with the rear running light on the passenger side of my car which I thought burned out while driving. But after a few hundred kilometers it worked again. It's a lot of work to get access to a lightbulb change, so I'm going to take it easy for now. It could be a bad bulb or possibly a loose connector and it's probably just coincidence…

Good buy, easy to install, works great

I decided to spend a few extra dollars to get one that didn't require me to splice any wires. It was very easy to install, it took about 90 minutes (including cleaning the back of the car). Only thing is, the documentation is wrong, one wire goes to the passenger side, NOT the driver's side. I've seen this in several other reviews and YouTube videos showing what needs to be removed for installation. One thing from the video, if you're careful you don't have to remove all the carpet from the…
