Install it yourself and save a lot of money

This is a very handy brake control. I originally wanted the dealer to install my electric braking system on my truck for my new trailer, but when they dumped the $400 extra I realized there must be a cheaper way to do it yourself. My total DIY installation cost was about $40 and took about 30 minutes to complete. Do yourself a favor and check out DIY next time you have a project like this.

Pros
  • Intuitive vertical manual guide
Cons
  • Not bad

Do not connect to Honda Ridgeline

They said this item would fit my car which should simply plug into the 4 pin connector for the electric brake unit. It didn't fit my car and my mechanic didn't call me. I ended up paying hundreds of dollars to have this hardwired even though my truck was supposed to come with a plug-in unit. He also said that the item I received was out of date and at least a year old had it not been for a newer model that connected to my car as it should. I specifically asked them to check this out and they…

great control at a great price

I sold my old camper and left the brake controls with it. Now we have decided to buy a new camper and I hated giving away my controller which I paid a lot of money for. I decided to try and save some money and I'm glad I did. This works too, better than my old controller actually, love how smooth the brakes are, there was no other controller I had and it has locked up the brakes on the camper from time to time, especially in the wet, so I constantly adjusted his settings. . I draw a 28 foot…

  • Timed braking

  • Low repairability

Simple and it works!

I hooked this up to my 2004 Chevy Silverado that came with the trailer pack. I used an extra connector cable to connect the controller to my car. That made the job very easy. I had a Chevy pigtail, but dangling wires made hooking it up a nightmare. I was able to fully hook it up to my truck, clean the wires and put the cover back on the fuse box in less than 20 minutes. I then hooked up my caravan and did a test drive. The controller has easy to read controls and it was easy to adjust the brake
