. No more need to use a drip pan and then spill oil trying to pour it into an old gallon jug. So I used it for the first time tonight. I changed the oil hot (is there another way) so I put the drain plug in the reservoir, finished draining the engine, pulled out the drain reservoir and wiped clean. The drain plug was right in one of the holes from which the oil flows into the reservoir. Fantastic, much better than the old way of fishing in hot oil. I sealed the drain pan. Close the vent (no…

Not suitable for changing the oil in a car engine.

Great idea, but unfortunately it doesn't work. Just to clarify - I've done 5 engine oil changes and 1 transmission with this sump since I bought it, so it's not a "first impression". My main complaints: 1. The sump is too shallow which means the oil that is poured out will easily spill out, no matter how you position the sump you will end up spilling oil on the bottom. 2. Great idea, cheap production and false advertising

This is a great idea, but implemented cheaply. I wanted to use it to change the oil in my car, so a leak in the reservoir was a problem. I have read many reviews of the 16 liter Flo tool and have seen constant complaints of leaks. I ordered it anyway, hoping that wouldn't happen to me. However, I did fill it with water after unpacking it to check for leaks. There are two sources of leakage on this container. The first leak is at the main oil drain. Since the threads are made of soft plastic…

Probably should be checked for leaks before use.

Unfortunately I didn't know that Walmart sold it cheaper. I see people complaining that it doesn't pick up oil fast enough and "gurgles". You may not have noticed the small vent. I didn't open it for the first few seconds and the air coming out of the drain hole made the oil squirt a bit. I see people complaining that it seeps out of the drain holes over time. You must understand that these containers are designed to collect oil and you must pour the oil into the appropriate container…
