VSR Visor Organizer by Go Gear Review

Picked this up in my new (used) truck. That's great. Exactly what I wanted/needed. 2 days after I received it my dad wanted one but they were sold out. He is disappointed. Hopefully they'll be back in stock soon so he can order one. Excellent price. Excellent purchase. I was worried about the pockets being baggy or not big enough etc. I didn't have to worry that much about such a cheap purchase but hey I'm cheap. Very happy with my purchase. If they are available, get these and not one of those

I asked for this over Christmas a year ago to have some things handy in the car. I have a child. Work remotely and in the office. Drive at least 2 hours a day. And often have to stop and work from my truck. I thought it would be nice to have a pen etc handy. It is much more. I have lip balm, eye drops, a stick or two, anticoagulants, a copy of my insurance, sunglasses, band-aids, Neosporin spray and hand ointment. I hide the notes and correspondence I need to do that day behind the organizer. i

Update: October 25, 2105: I had to replace the organizer. The elastics came off - stretched so much the organizer was hanging off the visor, and when I tried to put a notebook or pen back into the organizer it just slipped off the visor. It took about 19 months, which is pretty good for a $5.25 item (so I'm still giving it three stars). However, I bought a visor organizer from Blue Ridge Overland Gear in March 2014 (price $25) and it never wears out. Imagination and impulse is good.

I have a Lexus RX 350 and this visor organizer fits perfectly. It also covers the mirror (and light) but hey, I'm willing to give up my vanity for better organization. I like that it opens on the side so nothing falls out when you lower and reinsert the visor. There are only 3 main pockets but I would like more. I also like the pen holder but I think it's a bit out of place. On my car, when I put the handle in, a strange effect occurs: the visor does not close completely. I say it's weird…

Verdict on the front: The elastic on one strap snapped from the seam immediately after trying to put it on the visor. I didn't try to stretch the rubber band to the limit. In addition, it may be non-refundable - see 'Cons' below. Pros: Decent pocket space, it would have done the job I bought it for - storing license and registration cards - if it hadn't broke right away. Cons - Not what is shown in the picture. It's not often that little things can make life so much easier. It does. We have a garage opener without a visor clip that tends to rattle in the loose bin in the center console so you have to fish it out to see where the buttons are and choose the correct button to open or close the door. I'm the kind of ridiculous person who spends a lot of time researching a product, even if it's only $5 or so. This one was no exception. I recently bought a 2012 Prius. As a warning to anyone considering this, be prepared to buy some organizers as they have almost no front storage drawers (for explanation, I switched from a Sequoia to a Prius so I had a few storage drawers in a Sequoia) .
