Poor customer service

I bought two sets of Huffy bikes for my grandkids, one for our house and one they sent them. One of the bikes had a damaged seat, so I called Huffy directly. I was detained for almost 40 minutes. When it was my turn, the next person in line FINALLY hung up! I'm tired of waiting in anticipation so I'm hoping someone calls me back. When this is fixed I will change the rating as they seem like sturdy little bikes.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Be careful with overtightened bearings!

While the actual assembly wasn't really a problem, I did notice that all the bearings were overtightened by the manufacturer. The first thing I noticed was that the headset was so tight that I couldn't turn the front wheel without a lot of effort. This forced me to check the wheel and bottom bracket bearings which were damn tight resulting in the pedals and wheels not spinning freely. I could barely loosen the nuts to adjust them properly. All the adjustments I had to make had to be done right…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Updates available

Good bike but big disappointment due to wrong parts

The bike is great so I give it five stars. Huffy's customer service leaves a lot to be desired for the most part. (service@huffy.com) Training wheels did not fit properly. I felt from the beginning that the guides should be left and right. The rep I spoke to suggested that I was crazy and that installing the training wheels was the easiest job in the world. Hope this helps someone. If you look at the picture the instructions on the left are correct (they are different), the ones on the right…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some issues

Collected in 45 minutes but required a flat tire and new camera. Ugh

The bike was fairly easy to put together and only took about 45 minutes. If it weren't for the front wheel issues, it would only take about 20 minutes. The protective plastic cap on the stem was very difficult to remove and I ended up resorting to WD-40 and pliers. Then the steering wheel was very difficult to use. The instruction manual was difficult to understand and it took some time to figure out how to insert the inserted rod, you have to loosen the two nuts first. After putting everything

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Communication with seller
