Good bread knife.

Does a good job. Unbeatable price. The handle is composite, everything else is stainless steel. zero maintenance. I actually bought it to cut bread. I like artisanal bread. A straight, even razor-sharp blade cuts poorly.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competition is here

Good knife - bread knife

Good size, easy to cut but leaves a lot of crumbs on my cutting board. I don't know if that's normal for this type of knife, I used a regular knife that cuts cleanly, although there was a mess at the start of slicing the bread. If a mess of crumbs doesn't bother you, this is a good bread knife.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Felt good and strong but didn't cut bread well

The knife seemed really strong and well made. I don't know what it is but it didn't cut my bread very well. It felt like it needed sharpening. As if the blade were too thick for the serrated edge. I couldn't understand. I went back to my old knife which I wanted to upgrade but it works great, very sharp.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Stick my wife in bread knife

insulation, mineral wool insulation in particular cuts surprisingly well with a bread knife. After spending many weekends locking down various areas of my house and stealing a bread knife from a $400 set from Henckels, I got tired of her telling me to stop doing it. So I ordered this little gem and it works just as well as JA Henckels.

Pros

Cons

Decent knife, cheap metal

Decent sharp knife, very cheap metal The edges on the back of my blade are sharp, like freshly cut metal, and I cut myself several times by applying downward pressure as I cut . With a knife this long, it's quite difficult to cut just the handle, but using the spine of the blade can cut me.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time

Won't cut cutlery and knife accessories

Looks and feels good. He just doesn't cut bread. It kneads English toast and doesn't penetrate crunchy sourdough. If you manage to start editing, it won't end. The cutting edge is too straight: it needs to be perfectly flat on the cutting board and cut through the entire bottom crust at once, which is particularly difficult since, as mentioned earlier, it's not sharp enough for crusty bread.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Hard to tell

A very solid knife. Feels MUCH more expensive than it was.

Without knowing how much it costs I would estimate it to be over $100. This is very important for both the handle and the cutting part of the blade. A very good quality. It turned out to be hard for me as I'm not a strong person and I'm always looking for light, lightweight knives and this isn't the case. It's well weighted, of course, but still heavy for me. But again, this is a very good professional knife and cuts great.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Great price and quality meter.

Inexpensive but very effective bread knife. Will it last forever? I don't know, but I don't see why it won't last long with proper care. Like my mother's sewing scissors, I'm religious in using them for one purpose only. In this case, it's sliced bread. I believe this practice will sustain smooth cutting indefinitely. I don't have time in my life for junk, but I appreciate a good deal. This knife fits. It should be noted that it's probably longer than you think. Now that I have a 12 inch model…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

This is great for adding lots of mineral wool to your diet!

I needed a knife to cut the rockwool insulation and many people recommended a bread knife. Working with mineral wool is very similar to Angel Food Pie. Serious! It's soft and porous, with a slight crust on one side. It tears and breaks easily and is much easier to cut than bread. The 10" blade length is great for cutting large sheets over 3" thick. The handle and blade are beautifully finished with a satin finish on the blade. It looks like a wooden handle and is very comfortable to hold. I…
