Description of 🔧 Husky Precision Screwdriver Set with Onboard Storage - 8-in-1 Double Ended Phillips and Slotted Tools, Model 1000-039-351

TOUGH DESIGN: These bits are made with alloy 6150, an abrasion and shock-resistant steel alloy perfect for lengthy automotive, electrical, and general contracting jobs. ONBOARD STORAGE: The cap of the tool unscrews. The hollowed out shaft holds all of the included bits for maximum convenience. SPINNING CAP: When attached to the tool, the cap is free-spinning. That means you can have more precise turns for delicate fastening jobs on your jewelry or computer. INCLUDED BITS: (4 x Phillips: #000, #00, #0, #1) (4 x Slot: 1/16”, 5/64”, 3/32”, 1/8“). DUAL MATERIAL HANDLE: The handle combines metal and rubber. The rubber provides extra friction so that, when coupled with the curvy design, you can have the most comfortable and precise experience possible.

Great tool design

This is my second purchase of this item. I bought the same thing at Home Depot a few years ago. My original is still in perfect condition but I use it so much that I wanted a spare. Spare bits are stored in the handle and release the rotating shaft. I also use a precision torx screwdriver. These two tools do the job of a great set of jewelry screwdrivers, but with better grips and tips than most. However, the new instruments seem to take a little longer to polish or fall off and aren't as…

found its place in my everyday bag

Every now and then, as with all everyday items, you find that you or someone needs something that you hadn't thought of. This precision multidriver has become such an item lately. After two requests in one week for something I couldn't deliver, I hopped onto Amazon and found this great small form factor precision screwdriver solution. It found its way into my MilSpecMonkey Stealth Util/Admin Pouch on the front of my 5.11 Rush Moab 10. I've used it on and off and it's well built and reliable…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Very good tool, durable and versatile

This is my second tool so I now have one for work and one for home use. I use it for everything because it's very well made, durable and versatile. I have loads of cheap screwdrivers but this is my tool for anything small screw related that I need a small precision screwdriver for. I am an IT professional, so when working with electronic devices, you will find that you need such a tool almost every day. The heads are hardened steel so you won't snap or chip the screwdriver teeth, and they're…

A very useful little screwdriver.

I got tired of having a Husky screwdriver in the office when I needed it in the basement and vice versa. So I bought another one. This is a very useful tool for those who need a variety of small screwdrivers but don't want to lug around a set. This is a newer design than my old model which I have had for over a decade. Unfortunately it's not that good. The new model's new curved handle is larger than the old hex handle, but offers less storage space for additional blades. The largest Phillips…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Reliability

I have several previous versions of this screwdriver that I use in my workshop and for my computer techs, but the tips on the new version are made of a different metal and therefore don't quite fit the previous computer screws! POOH! I called Husky and they said the new version is made by a different company so there is a difference. I haven't had much of a problem with the lid not rotating during use, but I don't usually need to push the computer's screws that hard. The photos show that the…

Very compact - not the best quality

Pros: This is the only compact tool of its kind on the market. I had a very good quality item from another manufacturer for many years and didn't want another one until my kids lost it. Very compact design and a wide range of useful attachments in a slim body (easy-to-reach screws in hard-to-reach places). Most replaceable tip tools currently manufactured do not use this design and cannot reach a screw more than 1/2 inch deep in a tight recess. Disadvantages: This tool (unlike the Torx version)

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Modern

The bits seem strong enough for the price, have been used quite a bit, show no signs of wear and fit perfectly with all the small screws I've tried. I took 2 stars off the rating because the bits are not very tight in the screwdriver and sometimes fall out when unscrewed from the screw and one of the retaining balls on one of the bits accidentally fell out during a couple of weeks of ownership which have made that a little looser. Despite these shortcomings I would recommend this to anyone…
