Good extra water bottle.

This rolls up pretty small and will stand on its own with liquid in it. You have to suck the liquid out of the spot pretty hard. It is a little awkward to hold as the amount of liquid goes down. For those last two reasons I did not use it had my main water bottle on most recent air travel and hiking. And woul not buy again. It makes a good extra water container.

Pros
  • Works great with a BeFree filter
Cons
  • The twist-off cap can become loose and potentially leak

Just as you'd expect, but, I get an odd taste from it

This soft flask is extremely portable, strong and I love the pressure sensitive cap that lets you have it open and ready without worrying about spillage. However, apparently I'm 1 of 10 people that can taste some sort of odd taste that this flask adds to the water. I've washed it 3-4 times, soaked it in hot water dozens of times, used baking soda, the whole gambit, it's gotten better, but, still there. It's gotten so that I don't mind it as much as when I first got it, so I've not returned it and

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • The collapsible nature of the bottle may make it difficult to store in a backpack

Amazing concept but durability isn't there.

I had this for about 3 months and used it daily as a regular bottle. I'd keep it in my car, use it for working out and never took advantage of its ability to compress itself once emptied. Well, there is this ring at the top around the mouth piece that creates a seam with the rest of the bottle and after a couple of months of use, it started to have these little crack like holes form. It is now useless and leaks constantly. I have no recollection of puncturing it or doing anything with it to…

Pros
  • BAIL HANDLE - Flexible handle for comfortable carrying, quick attachment, and filling in a lake or river. When empty you can flatten and roll up in the handle for space saving storage.
Cons
  • The thin plastic may puncture or tear easily if not handled carefully

Disappointed good for me

I purchased 2 of these for a 4 day backpacking trip, I have to say it was a disappointment when they both leaked. I believe it could be a great product but needs some work.

Pros
  • Bill takes this hiking with him. It’s lightweight and flexible so it fits anywhere.
Cons
  • The collapsible nature of the bottle means it may not stand upright, making it difficult to fill

Overall OK: my feedback

Mixed feelings on this. I used it for attaching to my harness on a long multi-pitch climb. It worked good for that purpose, hence 4 stars, but it later developed a leak on a back-packing trip with my son. Probably a thorn poked through the rubber. Maybe it was a fluke. I might buy it again for climbing (as long as thier are no squeeze chimneys), but I'll down-grade the review if the 2nd one doesn't last longer.

Pros
  • The HydraPak Flux is an environmentally friendly alternative to disposable water bottles
Cons
  • The small size may not be suitable for those who need to drink large amounts of water

great for travel best in my review

I purchased this to travel with and carry in the field. It is great because it is light weight and durable as was as taking up only a small amount of space while packing it.

Pros
  • This is a great product! It is collapsible, very light weight, and holds a lot of water.
Cons
  • You can never get rid of the nasty plastic flavor from this bottle….ever.
