It seems that some of the early users of this product, both at Revain and elsewhere, had some issues with manufacturing defects due to bladder leaks. I bought the product in mid-May 2017 and since then I haven't had any leaking issues on a few bike rides so the issue may have been resolved. It is relatively small and light and is therefore well suited for short bike rides. We also had serious leakage problems on first use. Then, after repeatedly trying to unscrew the lid and not leak, we stumbled upon the secret! Put the lid on, slowly turning to the LEFT first. You will hear a click and feel the lid drop and lock into place. Then twist it to the right as usual to close it. Voila! ZERO leakage! It would be nice to have some instructions so you know how to do it, but now you know. The lack of instructions is the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five.

According to the description, the "crook" system was simply missing something. Replacement reservoirs, sold separately, feature a "Quick Connect" system that connects hoses and reservoir. This is also the point where an accessible dry hook should "hang". The items I received do not have a "Quick-Link" device (it is exactly like the photo, the hose just clips onto the tank outlet). I received my Camelbak yesterday. This is a replacement for the camelbak of the same name that I bought from REI. Camelbak Reservoir leaked too much. So I sent it back and got this one from Revain. This one also leaks from the tank opening unless you do what another review suggested. When you put on the container lid, first turn it counterclockwise until you hear and feel a click. Well I haven't tried it yet because the angle of the mouthpiece is just terribly uncomfortable. Even just sitting at home I can't comfortably hold it in my mouth - I can't imagine driving it around constantly trying to get it out of my mouth like it does. I'll order a 90 degree bent replacement and see if it gets any better. The tube also feels ridiculously long, which is one of the reasons I have such a hard time keeping it in my mouth. Works great! I used this pack at an EDC 2018 (Electric Daisy Carnival) and I have to say it worked phenomenally. The only downside I see from a dance festival perspective is that the butt tends to swing outwards during the dance. If there was another strap like the lower waist strap you see on many hiking packs this product would be a 10! Otherwise I give 9 out of 10, but still 5 stars. I read all the reviews before buying and almost didn't. I took the risk simply because it was CamelBak and I'm glad I did. For any folks who have a leakage problem, it's as simple as screwing the cap on properly. Just take an extra second and make sure you're doing it right. Make sure it is sealed and has not become crooked. If you do that, it won't flow. I quickly turn it upside down to make sure nothing is coming out of the cap to make sure I put it on properly. I bought the old 100 ounce deluxe version and a smaller (50 ounce) bladder for my kid to make her stop stealing mine. i like them both I bought this one because I wanted a new one for the summer and all mine were boxed.
