Most of the 4.5" x 20" carbon filters I have purchased weigh between 5.4 and 7.4 pounds depending on the wall thickness of the extruded carbon tube. This filter weighs only 4.2 pounds. The filter came in a 'damaged' box from Revain Warehouse Deals, but the filter itself was fine. It sat in my living room for almost 10 months before I got around to installing the system. The water comes out odorless and tastes great. I think this filter would fit us but unfortunately when I lifted it from the top the filter broke about 1/3 down the tube and let it go useless . I just realized I waited too long to install to be eligible for a replacement. This is very disappointing as I would like to try this product again.
